Feedback from Our Senior Sciencists

I have been really inspired by this program. The training also has changed my mindset and I will now take more proactive approaches and initiatives to move my career forward. It is great to know and share ideas with similar career-path female scientists.

MAVEN is a great program for the career development of woman scientists. It not only provides training and mentoring to essential career skills but also offers a community of women scientists for peer support.

This program really made me examine my leadership style and to make decisions consciously, and to build my team deliberately.

I enjoyed the peer mentoring groups very much and learned a lot from people outside my discipline. I'm going to do my best to stay engaged with my mentors.

I tend to be a somewhat passive person when it comes to career development. I work very, very hard, then sit back and wait for others to notice. MAVEN taught me this is NOT a good strategy, so I have made much more effort to highlight my contributions, as well as push the contributions of my female peers and mentees.

The skillsets that were taught have been so helpful! And meeting peers and getting their feedback was amazing.
